Up to 60 multi choice questions to measure a driver’s knowledge of safety and operating procedures on the rules of the road and First Aid.

 

Daily Walk Around Check:

A practical vehicle inspection to determine the driver’s ability to judge a commercial vehicle’s is in a roadworthy condition.

 

Driving Challenges:

A series of up to 10 physical driving problems simulating everyday operating conditions to determine driving skill.

 

ECO driving:

The task is to manage a route in traffic with an average speed of more than 50 km/h and the least consumption of fuel.

To determine the winners, the average speed and the diesel consumption, with a fixed minimum average speed, must be taken into account.
Violations of the traffic regulations, as well as non-compliance with the instructions of the judge, means a disqualification.

Professional Driver World Championship Sample Parkour

Task 1: Target Disk – The vehicle must be stopped in such a way that a solder / rod mounted on the bumper points to the centre of the target disk.  The vehicle is to be secured with the parking brake.

Task 2: Estimated Distance – Front – Drive forwards towards a simulated wall / barrier. Stop at the best estimited given distance, measured horizontally between middle front of the vehicle to nearest point of wall / barrier.

Task 3: Estimated Distance – Rear wall – Drive backwards towards a simulated wall / barrier. Stop at the best estimited given distance, measured horizontally between middle back of the vehicle to nearest point of wall / barrier.

Task 4: Ramp – Unlodaing Bay – Parallel parking –  Revers your vehicle in one rearward movement into simulated unloading bay. One forward shunt allowed for artic and road train class vehicle. Stop as close as possible, without contact/knocking , to rear barrier and nearside kerb. The vehicle is to be secured with the parking brake. Distances measured = vehicle rear to barrier + rear marked tyre to kerb + front tyre to kerb.

Task 5: Gate left – The Iron Gate is to be approached with the front part of the vehicle so that only the big bow in the direction of travel is brought out of its rest position up to the marking without moving the gate.

Task 6: Gate right – The Iron Gate is to be approached with the front part of the vehicle so that only the big bow in the direction of travel is brought out of its rest position up to the marking without moving the gate.

Task 7: Curve of Skittles (Domino blocks passenger side) – The vehicle is to be approached by the Domino blocks so that the right side of the vehicle overturns/knocks the inner (green) Domino blocks (4 units).
The outer (red) Domino blocks may not be touched with the vehicle. When the task is solved, the overturned square timbers are cleared away, so that the vehicle does not drive over it.

Task 8: Front Wheel Circle stop – Drive with the marked axle of the vehicle as close as possible into the circle and stop at the mark. The vehicle is to be secured with the parking brake.

Task 9: Height passage 4m – By hand signals/horn from the stationary vehicle instruct the judge how high the bar should be set to be able to passthrough. The bar can only be raised!!

Task 10: Barrier – Open the barrier with the front end until the light comes on. As far as possible avoid that the erected cans (4) fall over or fall down.

Task 11: Cyclist – Safety distance to the cyclist comply (1.50m). The vehicle must pass by the bike in such a way that the centre of the bike and the vehicle tire diameter of the front axle form a line and the distance is a minimum of 1.50m.

Task 12: Contact plate – The 1st plaste is placed on ground by Jury member. Remaining 3 plates are placed by driver, before entering vehicle to commence driving. He move vehicle forward over plates. Stop with all wheels on 4 plates on the ground, which then no longer can be pulled away. The vehicle is to be secured with the parking brake.

Task 13: Passage width 2.6m – The driver indicates by hand/horn signals how far the gates should be set apart. Pass through the gates without touching them.

Task 14: Marked Track right/left frontwheel – Steer a front wheel through/between a marked curved course of 12 marker discs. Pass through the marked course with the right or left front wheel without touching the marking disks.

Task 15: Estimated distance stop – The vehicle shall be stopped in front of the barrier at the distance indicated on the black board and secured with the parking brake.

Task: 16: Radius Disk – Drive with the marked axle of the vehicle as close as possible into the radius disk and stop at the mark. The vehicle is to be secured with the parking brake.

Task: 17: Fuel Pump – Drive to simulated fuel stop. Stop at dispensing pump to facilitate refuelling operation, at a prescribed distance of 1.25m , to be measured from a marked point on the fuel tank to a marked point on dispenser. The vehicle is to be secured with the parking brake.

Task: 18: Wonky Trolly – Drive into position to allow one member of the Jury to attach trolly to towing coupling on front of vehicle. Push trolly  towards target to allow jousting lance to make best/zero score. The vehicle is to be secured with the parking brake.

Task: 19: Target Box / Holding Box / Finishing Box – Entry into the destination box intended for the vehicle class. Stop with both front wheels within the marked holding box. The vehicle is to be secured with the parking brake.
