Honorary UICR President
The General Assembly has elected our former long-time President Ludwig A. Büchel as Honorary UICR President. The whole UICR Family thanks Ludwig A. Büchel for his enormous commitment for the good of professional drivers. He has accomplished his function with all of his strength on the behalf of our profession. His position was handed over to Robert Kastner from Austria as of the General Assembly.

IRU meets UICR at its headquarters in Geneva
a UICR delegation met at its headquarters in Geneva, an IRU delegation. L ‘meeting and wished for the annual exchange of information and the planning of activities. According to Jens Hügel, Head of Sustainable Development in IRU, collaboration with UICR is very important. Even Patrick Philipp, Head of IRU Academy talk about interesting synergies for both organizations. It was agreed to work together even more in some areas. UICR should be more involved in European projects and participate in meetings and commissions for new directives relating to road transport.
The planning meeting was between the two most representative association in Europe. UICR and IRU have formed a strong partnership on transport developments and driver.
