The biannual event sees Professional Drivers from across the globe compete in knowledge, driving skills, road safety and economical driving techniques of Truck, Buse and Van driving to be crowned the World Champion.

UICR Professional Driver’s World Championship is recognized globally as the premier competition and safety program in the transport industry.
The competitors are made up of the winners in six categories of competition in local Countries’ Trucking Associations and Driver Clubs at the National Professional Driver’s Championship.
During the NPDC and UICR PDWC competition, each driver can demonstrate his or her driving and inspection skills, knowledge and professionalism through a series of tests. The drivers undergo a written examination, a pre-trip inspection test and finally, the most visible – the skills test. These biannual competitions inspire thousands of drivers to operate accident-free for the right to compete.

The UICR believes that trained drivers have better opportunities in professional life and improve general road safety significantly. To participate in the UICR Professional Driver World Championship, a driver must compete and qualify in the National Professional Driver Championships of each UICR Member Country.
